your day at Villiers Barn

A beautiful venue is one thing. The people who run it are another.

You can find a wedding venue anywhere.

What you can’t easily find is a family who treat your wedding as if it were their own.

Villiers Barn is privately owned and operated by the Day family — Barry, Juliet, Jonathan, Ellen and Rebecca — who bring decades of industry and culinary experience to every celebration hosted here.

This isn’t a corporate venue with rotating managers.

It’s a family venue, run by people who know your names, your timeline, your suppliers and your priorities.

  • “From the first point of contact up until the wedding day I cannot fault Juliet, Jonathan and all of the staff they were all amazing and such genuine lovely people. They made our day feel extra special and nothing was too much to ask. I will always be forever grateful to them for making our day so perfect.”

    — Mr & Mrs Eldridge, newly weds.

  • “From the moment we first visited, we knew it was something special — not just because the venue is absolutely beautiful, but because of the people behind it. Everything just felt so personal, like they genuinely cared about our day as much as we did.”

    — Rachael & Dean Hughes, past clients.

The experience

  • The Morning

From 9am, the Bridal Suite is yours.

Two light-filled preparation rooms. Mirrors, dressing space, courtyard views. Private parking for your bridal party.

Suppliers arrive from 8:30am. The barn is dressed. Glassware is set. You don’t oversee logistics — you sip coffee, exhale, and prepare.

The morning feels calm because it is.

  • The Ceremony

Three ways to say “I do”. Choose between:

    – The separate, light-filled Ceremony Room (licensed for up to 150 guests)
    – The Courtyard, an open-air ceremony space framed by restored timber and brick
    – The Lakeside Setting beneath open skies and uninterrupted countryside views

Each option is positioned to flow seamlessly into the next part of your day — no travel, no room resets, no awkward pauses.

  • Drinks & Canapés

After the ceremony, guests step into the grounds for drinks and canapés.

The venue opens up — lawns, lakes, courtyard spaces. Canapés and drinks will be free flowing. Photographs unfold naturally. The atmosphere softens and expands.

These are the first moments as a married couple.

  • Dining

Up to 150 guests are seated within the Grand Barn.

Our in-house catering team serves restaurant-quality food, carefully timed and beautifully presented. Dietary requirements are handled thoughtfully. Plates arrive hot. Service feels smooth and never rushed.

  • The Celebration

As daylight fades, the barn shifts in energy.

The bar and dance floor remain within the same space — keeping guests together and the atmosphere alive.

Evening capacity extends to 190 guests. Music is licensed until midnight. Last orders are at 11:30pm.

  • Your First Morning as a Married Couple

A short walk brings you to the Honeymoon Lodge.

Overlooking the lake, it offers privacy, warmth and stillness after the celebration.

The following morning, continental breakfast is served as light returns to the water.

No rush. No immediate departure. Just a gentle close to the beginning of something new.
